MCU Review: She-Hulk: Attorney at Law – Episode 3

Another fun episode of She-Hulk this week. This episode was definitely lighter and seemingly more of the status quo of the show. I was surprised to see how much happened in this episode, especially with it being only about a half-an-hour. Also, so much of this episode was things we saw in the trailers, so it makes me excited to know that the rest of the show still has so much that we have not seen. This episode is by far the most comedic of the ones so far, and it works for the most part. Overall, without touching on spoilers, this was another solid episode.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Once again, for the spoiler section of this review, I am going to break things up based on topic: Pug’s case, Jennifer’s Case, and She-Hulk blood mystery.

I Love Seeing the Impact of New Asgard on the MCU

I absolutely love that in the post-Endgame MCU, Marvel is embracing the fantasy and science fiction elements of the world a little more. Having a light elf from New Asgard on trial in an American Court room like it is a somewhat normal occurrence just adds to the absurdity of the MCU in the best of ways. It gives me hope for Marvel to just continue to bring in more and more fantasy and science fiction elements like the comics have. We may eventually have mutants going on magical adventures, or traveling through time.

Also, Pug is just to pure.

Wong Does Not Care About the Law

I loved getting to see Wong, but I do not know if I believe one bit of Wong and Emil’s story about the events of Shang-Chi. I am hoping that we get a little more information on this front as things move forward. I cackled when Wong just dipped after being told that he broke the law as if the laws of man are below the sorcerer supreme.

Everybody Wants Her Blood

The final scene of the episode teases more Hulk-related mystery for the future of the show, with the Wrecking Crew, a common street-level group of villains in the comics, seeking Jennifer’s blood for their “boss”. My top three guesses for the identity of this boss are Val, Secretary Ross, or Samuel Sterns a.k.a. The Leader, who we last saw getting Hulk Blood in his head in The Incredible Hulk in 2008.

Many reviewers have teased a great episode next week, so even though this episode was not perfect, I am still quite excited for next week!
