This week (my birthday week) my writing time was mostly dedicated to preparing things for the filming of my short film. There is a lot to prep, such as locations, costumes, actors, shots, etc. This week I also was just getting super hyped from Thor: Love and Thunder hitting theaters.
My writing and creativity this week were really inspired by a rock vibe, as much of the playlist will reflect. Running Up that Hill and Everlong stayed in my mind from last week. I think with the 80’s setting of Stranger Things and the Hair Metal aesthetic of Thor, I have been in a Metal Fantasy mood this week. I have been thinking about how to take that vibe and work it into some writing. Right now I think the main stop-gap in my writing has been figuring out what genre to make a piece in. I find myself wondering if something should be a film script, a prose fiction piece, or a comic script. At the end of the day, I try to ask myself “what will be the most enjoyable experience for the audience?”
