A minute-long trailer for the upcoming series of MCU shorts, I Am Groot, was released today as part of the Marvel Studios Animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Luckily for fans at home, the trailer was also released online. With the show being a series of shorts, the trailer does not reveal much about the story, other than that the show will follow Baby Groot on some solo adventures around the galaxy.
The show looks like a lot of fun and it looks like the five episodes will take a cue from Scottie Young’s Rocket and Groot comics and the Christopher Hastings I Am Groot comic. My favorite shot from the trailer is Groot in the leaf dress. I am sure that many will toon in for these shorts when they release on Disney+ on August 10th.
