This week was back to work. Back-to-school always gives me so good story ideas to think on and also a drain on my energy. However some other things did get the creative juices flowing. My fiancé and I have gotten back into watch Dimension 20 on Dropout, so I have had so many new ideas for Dungeons and Dragons. We have also been catching up on Westworld, a wonderfully cognitive series.
This week I also got a rejection letter for a short story of mine. There were no notes in the rejection, but it did give me time to reflect on the piece some. I think I am going to review the piece over the coming weeks, then I will submit it to another literary magazine.
Besides my posting of this post late on Friday (due in large part to having my Open House tonight), I did well this week with writing blog posts during a work week. This gives me hope that I can continue to keep up my summer writing habits as the new school year begins.
If there are any other writer/teachers out there, good luck!
